Review: The Coen brothers (Joel and Ethan) are innovative and, perhaps, the best directors who are working today. Or, at least, take place together with the likes of Martin Scorsese and a rising star in director Quentin Tarantino. Think about it: it was the best film of 1984, Blood Simple, Raising Arizona, the best film of 1987 was the best film of 1990 Millers Crossing, Barton Fink was the best film of 1991, and Fargo was the best film of 1996. Now comes his latest effort, The Big Lebowski, which is not quite the same league as films, however, is still one of the most thoroughly entertaining films in 1998.It tells the story of a man named Jeff Lebowski, dragging his feet, who calls himself the Dude ( Jeff Bridges). Dudes apartment completely broken and the thief urinates on his rug. Finds criminals were not looking for it, but the other Jeff Lebowski, a millionaire disabled (played by David Huddleston), is looking for. That's all I can tell you.
