Review: I totally agree, this movie seems a little excessive, and is.Though sets and costumes are visually stunning, they are going too fast to be truly appreciated by and there is a feeling that too much crammed into too little. In addition, supporting cast have very little to do, and the presence of Anthony Hopkins as the narrator is quite confusing. In addition, a number of weak story points are added, as romance between the Grinch and Martha may seem quite unnecessary. However, if you want to watch this movie, watch Jim Carrey who steals the show as the title role. He is just hilarious! However, he says things tight race against Cindy Lou Who, who is incredibly cute.The difference between this movie and the cartoon is that the film is set higher than the Grinch. In the cartoon, the Grinch is a villain, and grumpy old hermit who is jealous of the Whos and their happiness. The Whos, the cartoon, are simple, rural residents celebrate Christmas, Grinch and finds he can not ruin Christmas, he knows that he can not suffer the absence he felt in his life, and finally of course the holiday spirit . In the movie, but the Grinch is slightly more modern take on his character.
